Anytime the word FAT comes to mind we think bad thoughts, we think of stored body fat, and obesity.   In fact you should always be intaking fats and including them into your diet for numerous reasons such as promoting a healthy body and  decreasing stored body fat.  Don’t think you can go ahead and have a McDonald’s burger or a chocolate bar however.  Fats you should be consuming are Uunsaturated Fats The 7 sources of  fats we are referring to are:

almonds

  • Olive Oil
  • Canola Oil
  • Flax-seed Oil
  • Nuts(mainly almonds and walnuts)
  • Fatty Fish(Salmon)
  • Avocado
  • Seeds

Those are excellent source of FATS and must be included in your diet to help promote good cholesterol levels, aid in releasing  joint pains, distributes vitamins throughout the body, insulates and protects organs, promote a healthy heart and also promote fat loss through increasing the metabolism!  By eating fat you can actually burn unwanted fat!

As many of you know already, I will be competing this year as I have taken over a year off.  I havent picked a show as of yet but i have started cleaning up my diet a bit, and will be posting progress pictures as well as my diet, and training routine.  I am very lucky to be a sponsored fitness athlete, have amazing support from you guys, family and friends. THE SECRET TO BUILDING MUSCLE…BCAA AGENT M

agentmLooking for that supplement that could give you that extra push in building lean muscle mass?  The key to muscle growth is a good BCAA( BRANCH-CHAINED AMINO ACID)  The three essential BCAA are L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Isoleucine!

L-Leucine

L-Leucine is approximately 8% of the total AA count in the human bodies structure of protein.  Unlike other nutrients, L-Leucine cannot be produced by the human body, therefore must be taken as a supplement or through foods.  NO MATTER HOW MUCH PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS AND CHICKEN BREAST YOU CONSUME, THE PROTEIN WILL NOT BE UTILIZED TO ITS MAXIMUM POTENTIAL IF YOUR BODIES L-LEUCINE INTAKE IS LOW!  Bottom line!

L-Leucine is mandatory for athletes and bodybuilders especially, because it preserves lean muscle mass(tissue), and more importantly supplies the body with energy during workouts and activity; therefore should be taken before, during, and after workouts)

L-Valine

L-Valine also cannot be produced by the human body, and therefore must also be taken through supplements or food.  L-Valine is essential for  muscle tissue repair and growth; it can also be used as an energy source in muscles.

I have tried a few different types of BCAA’s; the problem with powdered form BCAA is that they do not mix into water or liquids properly, therefore making it extremely difficult to consume.  I have been taking AGENT M from Fusion Bodybuilding for about two months now, and I can honestly say that this is an amazing product, the doses of BCAA are high, and they come in a tablet form!  Over the last month or so I have noticed I have put on a about 3lbs of lean muscle, my muscles look more full, and harder!  I have not changed a thing in my training routine, or my diet…I have continued taking the same protein and fish oils, the only thing I have done differently was supplement AGENT M and it has been working insane so far!

uploadAOver the last year or so I have tried 3 different BCAA’s and none can compare to AGENT M…I say give it a try because it can make the last little bit of difference.  The secret to building muscle is that their is no secret, it is simple, eat right, train right, and fuel your body with the correct nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
